吴志，毕业于解放军武汉军事经济学院，曾担任桂林陆军学院教授，从事雷达方面的教学和研究工作。世界科学名著《生命是什么？》作者，重磅中国内参《国策咨文》创始人与主笔，管用经济理论《平衡经济学》创始人与奠基者，中国智库开拓者与领军者，解放军指挥自动化系统开拓者和八十年代的领军者，鸟巢、中央电视台和国家大剧院建设的参与者，世界科学院创始人。
1986年在《世界知识》发表文章，率先肯定航母在核条件下的地位作用，被海军认同和采纳，启动了发展航母的程序；1991年海湾战争前，在国内外主流媒体发表系列文章，准确预测到战争的发生、发展、进程、结局、战争样式和作战飞机在现代战争的地位作用，被美国之音、香港《大公报》、台湾《联合报》等国际媒体称为中国军事专家；1991年初在《联合早报》发表连载文章，提前一年预测到苏联解体；2011年底和2012初在《国策咨文》和《广东经济》等媒体发表文章，预测美国将在十年内坠落。
从1982年起，在国内外发表原创性科学论著500多万字，全是独力完成，也是唯一作者，内容涉及生命科学、物理科学、天文科学、地球科学、经济科学、战略科学、军事科学、技术科学和社会科学等。有的来自学习经历，有的来自工作经历，有的来自生活体验，有的来自个人兴趣。生命科学论著80多万字，经济科学论著230多万字，物理科学、天文科学和地球科学论著50多万字，其他科学论著90多万字。研究领域比较宽，研究成果比较多，发现真理不计其数。搞科学研究不为名利，只是出于个人兴趣爱好，也希望能为人类奉献点东西。
